Carla Romero

Carla is a Colorado native who's heartfelt work reflects the depth of her spirituality. She is quickly earning worldwide recognition for her distinctive gift in capturing the feeling that encompasses the Native American way of life through her impressions of the Indian villages of northern New Mexico and the beautiful and peaceful imagery of the Colorado mountains. Her exraordinary and sensitive usage of alluring watercolor on paper is clearly only one of the defining elements that one might use in describing the feeling and emotion that her work evokes.

Carla's frequently published works have not only allowed her to achieve extensive recognition and acclaim, but have also helped her share her artistic vision with so many. Because of the great demand for her original artwork, her paintings are highly collectable and are part of commercial and private collections throughout the United States and abroad. Carla exhibits her original artwork exclusively in Taos, New Mexico and in fine art galleries throughout Colorado.

An important facet of Carla's work is her strong belief that her ideas and creativity are gifts from God. There is a deep spiritual peace that one discovers in her work. She subtly brings people into this special awareness and gives them a part of it to take with them.

"If I evoke some type of emotion through my work, I know that I have succeeded in accomplishing what I have set out to do. This is my desire, to create a feeling that touches a person in a very real way and to create a sense of place that is entirely their own."
